The industry finals of the 16th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition have recently come to an end. Sungening Biotechnology's independently developed innovative drug SG5035 project, "Research and Development of Ultra Long Effect Antifungal Infection Innovative Drugs," participated in the Longgang District Preliminary Competition of the 16th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the Industry Finals of the Enterprise Group (Biomedical Field) of the 4th "Longgang Double Creation Star" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. After fierce competition, it stood out from many projects and ultimately won the first prize.
Sungening Biotechnology owns the global independent intellectual property rights of SG5035. SG5035 is the world's longest acting class 1.1 innovative drug of echinocandins against invasive Candida infections, which is expected to achieve single dose administration in one course of treatment and become the world's first oral echinocandin drug. The SG5035 project is currently in the preclinical trial and application stage, with plans to apply for IND in both China and the United States by 2025.
